Fred Buckley

#11 Quarterback, Stanford University

Fred Buckley played quarterback for Stanford University in 1984 and led the team for the upset of UCLA at the Rose Bowl to give coach Jack Elway his first Pac 10 victory. While a quarterback at Cardinal Gibbons in Ft. Lauderdale, Buckley has a sensational high school career that saw him shattering past records that had stood for 30 years in South Florida.

He was first-team All-State two years, then named the Florida Player of the Year in 1981. He was a Parade All-American and along with Hall of Famer Bill Fralic, was one of two athletes on the Parade team to be flown to Bristol, CT to be featured on ESPN's show on the Parade All-American Team. He was on the cover of Blue Chips Magazine along with Jack Del Rio, Mike Golic and Bill Fralic. Fred was on the field during the famous 1982 Stanford game against Cal - which Cal won on the famous last play known as "the Play". This was also Stanford legend John Elway's last game at Stanford.

Fred was one of the most heavily recruited athletes in the country his senior year with over 70 scholarship offers including from Texas, Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, Ohio State, Duke, Nebraska, Penn State and Florida, FSU and Miami, before choosing Stanford. After Stanford, he signed with the Los Angles Raiders and Coach Tom Flores. He was on their developmental squad in 1986.

After football, Fred continued his success, becoming one of the leading entrepreneurs in the men's health industry. He was featured on the Larry King Show for having created the number one rated men's prostate supplement of all time ProstaGenix (ProstaGenix.com) and for having started, along with his wife Corinne Buckley, several companies including the breakthrough men's telehealth service ScoreBlue.com. He and his wife have three sons and reside in Beverly Hills.
